This is another option for middle school. Start with the 6th grade level and go through all the levels.
For Middle School math, you may want to check out Master Math. Start with the 6th grade level and then complete levels 7th and 8th for a full curriculum. There are 110 lessons.
For High School, we have had relatively good success using Khan Academy. It can be used as full courses or as homework help and tutoring.
Here are some Free Bible lessons with links. I made them when BJU Press cancelled their satellite school and I was left with the material, but no lessons that I could afford. I like to have my kids sit down and do some schooling on their own, so this is what I came up with to go along with their Bible workbook that I already owned. Most of this can be done without the workbook if you have your child just use a spiral bound notebook or a binder filled with paper. You can have them use their own Bible if you wish. The links I have provided are KJV. Some links will take them to YouTube, so it is up to you to watch out that they are only watching the link that I put up. I also posted links for some wonderful videos that are from the LDS church. I am not in any way affiliated with LDS, but the videos are Biblical sound. You will need to have a printer available for your student to use. I am doing this as my daughter comes to the lessons, so there will be more to follow. I hope to put them in order once we have finished all the lessons once. This page will be under construction for a while.

Jesus commands you to be like Him. How can you do that? What does it mean to be like Him? To become more like Jesus, you must be willing to change your attitudes to His. Your choices must be His choices. How will other people know that you are becoming more like Christ? They will know by watching your testimony. Your testimony is really just how you show others what you believe about God. It is your reputation or the kind of person you are known as. What is your reputation? Do others know you live for Jesus by the choices you make? Is your reputation or testimony pleasing to God?

Here is a definition of a stumbling block that I learned when I was young.
Any choice I make that would cause another person to trip or fall in his walk with God.
God has given us the responsibility of making choices that would not be stumbling blocks to others. Christians must use caution so that their lives are pure examples of Christlikeness.

Having a testimony that is pleasing to God means that you obey His Word by making RIGHT CHOICES and avoiding WRONG CHOICES. The choices that you make will have a great influence on you and on others.

Paul describes the relationship that a believer has with God in Eph. 1:5-6. When parents take into their family a child who was not physically born to them, they adopt them. When God takes into His family a sinner who has repented, He adopts him.

Here is an adoption story to watch.
Imagine there is an adopted child who moves into the home of his adoptive parents and just stays in his room. He does not enjoy the company of the others in his new family. He doesn’t ask his parents for what he needs. He never thanks them for things that they do for him. He is not interested in finding out what his parents expect of him. He doesn’t even want to tell them his own interests. Is this child behaving like a member of the family? Of course not!

The comforting idea that God is a refuge during difficult times is all throughout our Bible. If you read the Psalms, you will find it a lot.
1. In your Bible notebook, draw some ways that God has given His protection and help throughout history.
2. Tell your parent or teacher about the pictures you have drawn and why you chose them. You should draw at least three things.
3. Write about a time that God has helped you when you were in trouble.

After Judas betrayed Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was taken to the Jewish religious leaders. The events that followed were illegal according to both Jewish and Roman law. The Pharisees and chief priests violated their responsibility to be just and truthful leaders in an effort to get rid of Jesus.

Peter believed in Jesus. He had traveled with Jesus around the country, watched His miracles, and listened to His teachings. He loved Jesus so much that he even promised to die for Him if need be. But when the real test came, what happened? Read here for the answer.
How could someone who was so eager to prove his loyalty and love for Christ turn around and deny Him? Peter failed that day because he was afraid to suffer for Christ.
Although Peter failed, God was not finished with him. Peter’s grief over his failure led to his repentance and his restored fellowship with Jesus after the Resurrection. Peter became a strong testimony of God’s forgiveness to the early church. Peter’s response to his failure is a good example for today’s Christians.

When you fail, you can’t just try to do better next time. Victory over failure must start with confession!

Jesus Christ is known by many names. Each name tells something about His authority, His character, or His actions. All of these names point to the deity of Christ and are names which are above every other name.
Write the names of Jesus found in these verses in the order that they appear. in your notebook.
If the name is a title that describes His position of authority, draw a crown beside the name.
If the name is a title that describes His character, draw a heart.
If the name describes His actions, draw a hand.
Some names have more than one description symbol. Draw all the symbols that apply next to the name.
Jesus set a high standard for Christians to follow. Christians can expect to suffer for their faith. It may be verbal insults or threats. I may be abuse, imprisonment, or even death. We should not be surprised when it happens, but we are most of the time. In America, we have been blessed to have freedom of religion, but that is not true in many other places. Here is an article about Christians who are being persecuted today. Read it and notice the long list of countries that do not allow its citizens to be Christians. Here is a video about Christians in danger for following Christ today. I don’t want you to be scared by this video, but I want you to understand how blessed you are in America and to encourage you to pray for Christians in other countries.
The world hates Jesus, so if you are a Christian, you can expect the World to hate you, too. When faced with suffering, you will also be faced with the decision of how to respond to it. God’s word gives the answers by focusing on Jesus’ response to suffering.
Read 1 Peter 2:21-23 and answer the questions in your notebook or workbook.
1. According to verse 21, what is one reason Christ suffered?
2. List two ways that Jesus suffered.
3. How did Jesus respond when the people insulted and abused him?
4. How should a Christian respond when someone criticizes or insults him because of his faith in Jesus?

Today we will learn about one hero of our faith.
Polycarp lived around the time of the apostle John around AD 61-147. He was John’s student, and then he became a student to others.
Polycarp could not teach openly. Religious leaders of his day persecuted him and tried to persuade him to deny his faith in Christ.
When his enemies found him hidden in a little village, he invited the soldiers in for something to eat and drink. Does that sound like a verse of scripture that you may have heard before? Ask your teacher or parent for help in finding the verse I am referring to. Here’s a hint. Go to this website and type “if thine enemy hunger” into the search.

Before they took him away, he asked if he could pray without interruption. Permission was granted, and he prayed for every man he had ever known. Some of the soldiers repented of the evil they were planning on doing to Polycarp, a true man of God.
Here is some more of his story.
Christians have the same responsibility as Polycarp did. In most countries, Christians have His word in their own language. They have a big responsibility because they have His teachings readily available. Polycarp left Christians an example to help them obey Christ faithfully even if it costs them everything.
2. In your notebook or workbook describe what you think would happen if every Christian had to wear a label that said he believed in Christ.
3. Look at the first meaning of the word martyr. Write the word with its definition in your notebook.

The Cain and Abel Story
The Cain and Abel Story
After Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden, they gave birth to their two eldest sons, Cain and Abel. According to the Old Testament, the oldest son Cain was the first human that was born, as opposed to being created. Cain plowed the Earth while Abel was a shepherd to lambs.
The Bible says that God one day asked Cain and Abel to sacrifice something to him. It says that Abel thought long and hard about what sacrifice would please God the most. He decided to sacrifice one of his precious lambs. Cain on the other hand thought about what meant the least to him and he sacrificed some fruit and grain. Without a doubt God preferred Abel’s sacrifice.
This made Cain jealous of his younger brother and he murdered him. God came to look for Abel, and when he could not find him he asked Cain where he was. Cain replied: “I don’t know. Am I my brother’s keeper?” (Genesis 4:9)
When God found out what Cain had done, he punished him with a curse. He was no longer able to farm and he would have to wander for the rest of his life. Cain was afraid he would be harmed by people on the road, so God gave him a protective marking.
ANGER is a powerful emotion. It is a strong feeling of displeasure when something does not go your way. Anger is a choice. No one can force you to become angry. Someone may do something that tempts you to get mad, but the choice to become angry is yours. Some people react with harsh words, others in silence, and still others with violence. Sinful anger leads to negative consequences.
Cain was angry because God did not accept his offering. (Gen. 4:5)

Not all anger is sinful. The Bible says that God is angry with sin. (Psalm 7:11). Anger that is a result of seeing an injustice or wrong thing being done is known as righteous anger. Christians should imitate Christ in being angry about sin and its destruction in the lives of people. However, the Bible also says that God is merciful and patient and that He is willing to forgive their sins immediately when they confess them to Him.
3. Read these verses. Exodus 32:17-20, and John 2:13-16. Tell who felt righteous anger and why.

In our last lesson, we learned about anger. Today, you will try to apply the lesson to yourself. Christians must learn to control their emotions when something does not go their way. Anger that controls you and drives you to react with a lack of self-control is sin and is a direct result of pride in your heart. God’s Word warns Christians about the dangers of sinful anger.
