Preschool Number Mini-Lessons

These are just introductions to numbers and counting.  Here are some numbers cards for Mom to print out and use.

 

Day1

Today we will learn about numbers. Watch this video. Count with it.
Learn about the number 0. Play this game. Did you like popping all those balloons?
Print these flashcards. Put them in order and count out loud.  Can you put 1 toy near the number one flashcard? Now put two toys by the number two flashcard. Do it with three and four, too. 

Day 2

Count the firetrucks. Count along.
Learn about the number one.
Here today’s worksheet. Color it nicely.

Day 3

Count along as you watch this train video.
Print out this worksheet. Color the number 2. Find two of the same thing in an old magazine and cut them out. Glue them next to your 2. 
Get out your flashcards from day 1. Play the same game as on Day 1. Do it all by yourself. Show Mommy!

Day 4

Count along with the numbers train video.
Print out this worksheet. Color the number 3. Draw three things next to your number 3.
Get your flashcards out again. This time, mix them all up and then put them in the correct order. Start at 1 and hop, hop, hop to each number. Count out loud when you hop. 

Day 5

Count along again.
Print out and color this worksheet. Paint 4 things next to your number 4. 
Get out your flashcards again. Have Mommy mix them up and show you one at a time. Can you say the one she shows you? How fast can you say it?

Day 6

Can you count sheep?  
What does the number 5 look like? It looks like this. number 5.
Watch a fun Sesame Street video about the number 5
Here is a worksheet. Print it out and color the 5. Now get your play dough and make five things to put next to your 5. 

Day 7

Count the sheep.
What does the number 6 look like? It looks like this. Number 6.
Bert’s favorite number is the number six.
Here is your number 6 worksheet. Put six stickers on the big number 6.
